I'm so sorry that I was out of town and missed it. I appreciate Janie's filling in for me on Sunday morning. Be sure to write June 11th at 6:00 on your calendar to remind you that we will meet at Charlotte Cafe to eat on that evening. Durward and Connie are arranging that for us. A sign-up sheet will be on the clipboard on Sunday. Madeleine Stanford has a birthday next week on June 7th. Happy Birthday, Madeleine!!! The discussion leader will be Rose Hamid, who I believe is still flying as an airline stewardess. She wears her Moslim headdress and is sometimes mistaken for a nun. Birthdays for the week after 5/25 are as follows: Carol Douglas 5/28 Ben Witherington 5/31 The discussion leader is Reatha Andrew, using the book Understanding Islam as a resource. This is in preparation for the visit of Rose Hamid, who will be our discussion leader on the following Sunday. Rose was reared Baptist and converted to Islam. She is a stewardess and wears her headpiece, even as a part of her working uniform.
