1. Our class has invited the Wesley Class to join us this Sunday to hear Kirsten Sikkelee (on the Carol Douglas Empowering Series - spkr: Kirsten Sikkelee, YWCA-CEO ) xxxxxx They have graciously accepted, so to accommodate the size of our combined classes, we will MEET IN THE EXPANSION SPACE IN THE BASEMENT of the PLB. That's the area (w/all the chairs) nearest the finished part of the basement.Several ways to get there:
a) Take the elevator off the PLB Lobby. After getting off, turn LEFT and proceed down the carpeted hall till the carpet ends, and... you are there!
b) Take the stairs off the PLB Lobby (across from the elevators). After getting downstairs, turn RIGHT and proceed down the carpeted hall till the carpet ends, and... you are there!
c) If you are coming from the PLB parking lot and entering the "front" door, take the BIG stairway down to the basement then turn LEFT and head across the basement to the grouping of chairs. That's where we'll be!
d) If you are coming from the PLB parking lot and entering from the "back" door, you can take either the stairs or the elevator. When you get to the basement, cut across the basement diagonally to the grouping of chairs :-)
2. Barbara Barden has been troubled a bit lately by her RA. She's getting her meds adjusted this week, so we hope that will provide her the needed relief.
