20120108 Jim starts new year as President and teacher on Talents

A copy of these Class Notes are sent to members who do not have computers. If you receive this and do not want, please let me know; on the other hand, let the officers  have info on you for inclusion , especially if you are not able  to come regularly to class. If you have a computer, please use this Blog, the official Web Site, and the links in each to keep up with the class. Links are on the web  and blog to various info and pictures including a Roster I keep fairly current. We have not printed a Roster for distribution since 10/2010. +Class Notes (1/8/2012) Lesson led by Jim Hatfield

•  Introduction: > Jim and Nancy started off the new year today as President. Jim also was out teacher on parables involving Talents. Members began using a sign in sheet for attendance at the door.Mary Katerine reported on our Finances as of year end with $2,526.47 in one account, $1,197.02 in a Helping Hands Account, and zero in the Helping Hands account through the Church. Don R mention he had some 7 day passes to the YWCA. He reminded the class of Ben Witherington's visit Monday night at 7 pm in Jubilee Hall. . Disposition of the Christmas tree was discussed.Jim announced we were invited to a breakfast by the Snyder Class next Sunday the 15th at ( am. Don was only one to sign up!) A few people attended their class last week when  Ownbey skipped meeting.
• 10 New Year Resolutions by Jim 10> Get better organized (took him a while to find list) 09>Stop blaming others (He said he would have been better organized if folks at home had not distracted him) 08> Print clearly and neatly (but he had a hard time reading his notes) 07>finish any project he started (and this is as far as he got . .)

Please read Luke 19:11-26 about the Nobleman, his Servants, and the Trust he placed in them, and then consider the following questions:
1.  Who meant the most to you in your youth?
2.  Who meant the most to you when you became an adult?
3.  Who means the most to you now?
and...4.  WHY did/do they mean so much to you?
You might even want to jot down names/reasons and bring that w/you to class.
