$$$ for Shepherd Center Computer Classes

In 2011, an amount equal to your tuition will be Contributed to Helping Hands in Honor of (at least) 30 class members to take Shepherd Center Computer Classes. Other rules might apply as I think on this. See link http://ownbeyss.blogspot.com/2010/12/computer-classes.html

The old "Say the Bible Names from Memory" offer contiues.

We had 12 $50 winners in 2010 for members who visited http://ownbeyss.blogspot.com/ and emailed me telling the number of visitors to the site. Honor contributions went to Helping Hands, our SS Class, the Library Fund, the Red Cross, and Haiti Relief.

$50 offer over for visiting Blog, sorry

HEY, last time we said we had 3 winners , but we have 4  as one person used the Blog Comment section to  claim the award. I did not know how the Comment section works and now I do. See the entry below called  Adding Comments to this Blog:

Time has run out on the offer. Sorry you missed it. We will put it back some time in the future.
The offer was $50 for you, class, or charity for telling me you saw this announcement.  Check back later as the offer will pop up again.

Someone asked why this entry has a date in the future. I want the offer to show first  and blogs leave the most recent (or most future) date first. Ok?

REMEMBER the $50 offer for saying Books of Bible is open. No takers in over a year. See the winners here:

(1) $50 won, (2) Cal's lesson Draft and (3) Wall Street Journal article on Jefferson, Adams, and Washington

Hi Ownbey folks and friends (6/27/2010) (1) Congratulations, someone just won the $50 mentioned on our Blog and asked that it go to our Helping Hands Fund. Thanks. Click here (2) Cals' Draft, Cal said it was ok to put the written draft of his lesson on the internet and our Blog, and it is at the link below. I fixed it with a username and password. If you missed the session, you missed a good one and I think all of us will enjoy reading what Cal prepared even if we heard it already; he worked hard on the lesson, as all our teachers do, and we thank him for sharing his precise notes; he must be a (good) lawyer. We thank Cal and Eleanor again for the Marathon Celebration Cake for Harriette; I understand she enjoyed (some of) it and her image. http://donredding.com/ownbey/20100627godandcountry.pdf (3) Feuding Fathers, from Wall Street Journal. Linda found the article Ann Mawell told some of us about in the latest Wall Street Journal. Good reading and appropriate for our discussions recently. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704911704575326891123551892.html?mod=WSJ_hp_mostpop_read#printMode I know we have sent an abundance of emails today but I hope you are ok with them. As always, let me know if you do not want them. Don
