  1. Review Handbook (Page 27) for other Secretarial duties periodically as well as these suggestions.
  2. Place "X" or Check Mark in cell for person present. Use presure to make a dark mark visible when copied. Most prefer pencil.
  3. Erase errors - or mark through and circle to mean "do not count."
  4. Total the attendance and  put at bottom of column.
    1. Indicate page one and page two  totals and overall totals in spaces provided in Space provided.
    2. Total visitors, record/write names, and  have them sign Guest Book.
    3. Get email address too by editing the guest book page form.
  5. Prepare Name Tag for Visitor
  6. Check with President to see if  followup letter is  to be done and by whom.
  7. Treasurer should take up collection. Secretary will:
    1. Allocate collection $$ between Church, Ownbey, and total.
    2. Record special offerings. Separately in space provided
    3. (Collection info needed as no longer maintain copy of Envelope in class.)
  8. Preparer should initial in space provided on the Roll.
  9. Add name of teacher in Space provided, line 183
  10. Record attendance and collection info on Money Envelope.
  11. Give to the Treasurer(s) to take to the Vault.
  12. Do not leave money in room.
  13. List names of members to be added or removed on envelope  as this is main way  the Church knows of official changes in our membership
  14. At least monthly, give a copy of the roll to Don for  recording in a computer.
  15. Watch for trends of people missing and advise officers, Membership Committee if any, and Health and Happiness.
  16. Periodically contact members for status and advise officers.
  17. Work with Church Office to keep roster current.
  18. Housekeep notebook and use hole punch to keep neat.
  19. Add other suggestions to this list.
  20. Why all this? Maintaining attendance records is important to keep up with members and to have accurate records for church room assignment decisions.
