We very much appreciate your patronage of the Myers
Park UMC Library. As an expression of
our thanks, we are enclosing a MPUMC Library book bag as our gift to you.
We hope you are familiar with and use our Web
Site frequently to find books, DVDs, and other items in our library.
We want to share with you these other ways our Web Site can be accessed and used, and we want to encourage you to make use of these extras:

Did you know
there is now an App that gives access to our Library Web Site from Apple
devices? The App is called Library Trek
(by Surpass) and allows you to link to our church library's information. Among other uses, this App might be used to
research quickly and conveniently whether a book is available in our library
before you make a purchase. Just locate
the App in the App Store, install it following the prompts the App provides and
you will have ready access to our
library's information on your device.

Our clergy and
staff have made summer reading recommendations and these are contained on our
Library Home page now.

You can do book reviews on our Web Site by using the sign-in
at the top right on the screen after you get into the Library site. We would love to have you share your thoughts
on specific books in this manner. Details
on how to log in and how to do a review are included on a sheet which is also
enclosed in this package.

you to tell others about our Library as well.

BOOK REVIEW PROCEDURE:
1. Go to church web site www.mpumc.org
2. Go to drop-down menu for News and Publications and click
on Church Library
3. Sign in to the web
site using the log in procedure below.
This will automatically identify you as
the author of the review.
4. Under Search (top left), type in any book title or author
. . . then click Go
5. When you see the book . . . click on the book
graphic
6. Beside the book, you can check the stars to indicate how
you like the book then
7. Beside that, click on write a review and complete
information (your name unless you logged in
, write a short review, and choose category you feel is best suited for the
book) . . . then click save.
8. After you click save, the system will thank you and say your
review will be submitted for approval. This approval comes from Barbara Barden or
Linda Myers.
LOG IN:
The library web site has a log-in availability at the top
right of the screen. Your specific log
in information is given below. To log
in, perform the following steps:
1. Go to church web site www.mpumc.org
2. Go to drop-down menu for News and Publications and click
on Church Library
3. At the top right
of the Library site is a place to click to indicate you wish to log in
4. Click on the word,
Log In, and this will cause a pop up screen to put in your user id and password.
5. Details of your
specific user id and password are provided below:

If you wish to change your password from that shown above,
here are the steps:
1. First, log in
using the above information
2. Then place the
cursor on "My Account" at the top of the screen without
clicking. This will show a choice for changing passwords.
3. Click on change
password and follow the steps as provided by the system from there.
