Checks should be made out to Ownbey Sunday School Class. Contributors will receive a notice of giving (with $ amount) suitable for tax purposes from the Class; the recipient will receive an announcement of the gift (no $ shown). The $$ will not be included in the Year End Summary of giving from the church.
Whereas the notice from the class is sufficient for tax purposes, If you want to get the gift listed on the Summary from the Church, contact the Class Treasurer for directions; it is a little more paperwork but can be done. In this case, the check needs to be made out to the Church. Ask a treasurer . .
