Ownbey Sound System

Hi folks

Here is a link to the posting on the Blog of today's recordings and photos:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Below and above is a link to recordings of today's class on our Blog.

  • As you may know,  I seriously am trying to learn how to use our audio system in the class and to hook up a new recorder I have to it. I am getting it better but not close to perfect yet.
  • I understand some class members contributed to the purchase of our audio system in late 2006 (I was not asked!), and I never heard anyone get any thank yous for it, except maybe Ted Bryan and Don Hammer, and I am thankful to those that made it possible.
    • It is quality stuff.
    •  I found the Instruction Manuals in the locked cabinet and have put pictures of the pages on Smugmug; doubt any of you want to see that but I do have links below. I returned the originals to the locked cabinet. I also have pictures  there of the sound system  as well.
  • The first recording today on the Blog is of Liz L singing at 8:30.
    • Sorry about the noise from moving the mike and of course just using the recorder from the audience makes it hard to get  the best sound.
    • She  did a great job.
  • So far I have not listened to all the SS  class recording,  but it seems to start off clearly.
    • When speakers  use the mikes we get better recordings of course.
    • I noticed I failed to use the mike when speaking today  when I should have.
  • If you listen to any of this, let me know if you want anything changed or removed.
    • We did talk class issues a little and of course I will remove anything you want.
  • When you go to the below  link/blog you will be given the option to play one of two recordings (or both but best to stop one before playing another!) and a slideshow should be moving below the audio links independent of the audio.
    • I find I can  do it this way faster and with less  space used  on my server.
  • I am not asking for any testing, just telling you what is there. If you want to share with me any issues,  that is fine,  but this time I am not asking that.
  • As with any of my emails, let me know if you do not want emails such as this and I will stop bothering you.
  • Give it a little time to load.

thanks

don
