quick note:  for some reason, the computer would NOT let me "dump" the e-addies in-toto, like i usually do, so i had to call up each addy individually...  You will see names of folks you don't know -- i keep in touch w/ext'd SS family and have them "coded" by "SS, followed by #" like the rest of us.  Don't panic:  our class is large, but not as large as it appears when looking at e-addies!
I also hope i sent all active members a note...  If you skim thru the list and think of someone i left out, PLEASE let me know!

A memorial service for GRACE ELKINS will be held Friday, January 12, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Myers Park United Methodist Church, 1501 Queens Road, Charlotte, North Carolina.

 Grace Alexander Elkins, 94, died peacefully on December 13, 2017. Grace was born on April 18, 1923 in Greenville, South Carolina, the daughter of Theodore Decatur Alexander and Estelle Eskew Alexander. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Sydnor D. Elkins.

Our granddaughter gave birth on Thursday, December 28th, to an 8-weeks premature daughter, named Olivia.  She has all vital parts and, except for her weight (3-lbs at birth), is functioning as well as you would expect considering the time factor.  Mother is at home, and Olivia will remain in Huntersville Novant until at least February 27th.
